First Day On The Job

About 7 years ago my little girl was turning 5 and wanted a Monsters Inc cake for her birthday. I went all out and ordered one from Save Mart and thought I was going to get this really good cake. It was store bought, it had to be good, right??? Wrong!!! The cake tasted like the freezer and the frosting had no flavor at all. I had spent all of this money on the worst cake ever thinking that I was doing such a good job. I vowed never again to buy another store bought cake. Well, I must admit that there have been times I have purchased a store bought cake but usually just from Baskin Robbins :) Most of the time we have yummy home made cakes. So in the last 7 years I have definitely learned a lot from experience and from other people. I love to make cakes and just desserts in general. I do it all for fun!!! I've had quite a few people asking lately about my cakes and cupcakes so I thought I would start a blog. Hopefully that will make it easier to keep pictures updated and I can share some my ideas with my readers. Please feel free to leave comments and suggestions :)

Craig and I met at "Ricks College" in 1994. We were married in San Diego in June of 1995 which means we will celebrate our 18th anniversary this year. Time flies when you're having fun. We lived in Idaho for about 2 years after we were married. Sari was born in Idaho. We moved to California shortly after she was born. We've lived here for about 16 years. Ashlie and Tyler joined our family in California. We have lots of fun just relaxing and hanging out.
