I decided to give the parchment papers a whirl as cupcake wrappers. My overall thoughts are that they are cute in a pinch but not really worth the effort. I'd love your feedback though, do you like the looks better than a standard cupcake wrapper???
The wrappers were easy enough to cut. I bought a roll of parchment paper that was 15" wide so I just cut it in thirds. I pushed it down into the cupcake pan and tried to crease the edges but it came up regardless how meticulous I was in creasing it. Once I put the batter in though it stayed down just fine. Just a little more time consuming compared to throwing in a premade cupcake wrapper.

New wrapper with cupcake batter inside.

With cupcakes baked inside. They did bake at the same speed as a typical cupcake wrapper.

A decorated cupcake using the new wrapper.
