"You don't have to wait for a special occasion to enjoy a cupcake - although you might find that sharing a batch makes even an ordinary day seem that much more sweet."- Martha Stewart
This is a recipe for home made oreo cookies I got from a friend. Very easy and oh so yummy! I used buttercream frosting tinted orange to make my cobwebs on top.
My uncle Kenny died this past weekend and this week is the funeral. I wanted to make something special in his honor and finally decided on doing a cupcake bouquet. I put vinyl lettering on the sides. My grandma will get to keep a pot and his wife Allison will get the other pot. I really like the custom pots that the family can keep and put a plant in and remember their loved one.
I recently saw a You Tube clip of the Seinfeld show that made the Black & White cookie famous! My cousin also saw the post and wanted her own batch of homemade Black & Whites for her birthday. So here is my attempt!
Shortbread cookie with a cream cheese filling topped with half vanilla and chocolate fondant.
Sorry the pictures are blurry! I seriously need a new cameraman :)
This is for a wedding of a friend. The flower lady put the fresh flowers on after I left so the cake doesn't really look all that good right now :( I will get picture of the finished cake and post. Fresh flowers will be put on along with leaves made from fondant that you can see beside the cake. The branches are made from fondant.
Along with the 3 tier cake the bride wanted sheetcakes to finish feeding the guests. This is carrot cake with cream cheese frosting and candied carrots for garnish.
Chocolate cake with peanut butter frosting and mini pb cups for garnish.
Lemon cake with a lemon frosting and candied lemon zest for garnish.
And for all of the non-frosting lovers (is there really such a thing?) chocolate cake with raspberry topping and a dollop of cream.
I made these cute little cuppies for my little boys flag football game. Each week a parent is in charge of the snackies and today was our day. Chocolate cupcakes with buttercream grass and fondant footballs. I put the laces on with royal icing.
So a good friend of mine loves to make homemade ice cream! We thought it would be really fun to try out ice cream cupcakes together - my pumpkin spice cupcakes, her cinnamon ice cream, my cinnamon cream cheese frosting! They turned out soooo yummy and definitely a learning experience!
This is the second cupcake bouquet I've done. Funny, she didn't want me to change the color scheme. She said it was already beautiful, no need to change it! So we didn't! However, she wanted lemon cupcakes and so I created a brand new flavor of frosting. We went with a lemonade buttercream, sweet yet tart! Tasty stuff!
Craig and I met at "Ricks College" in 1994. We were married in San Diego in June of 1995 which means we will celebrate our 18th anniversary this year. Time flies when you're having fun. We lived in Idaho for about 2 years after we were married. Sari was born in Idaho. We moved to California shortly after she was born. We've lived here for about 16 years. Ashlie and Tyler joined our family in California. We have lots of fun just relaxing and hanging out.
